Once you have registered for the conference, you need to begin planning your travel to the celebration of Latino children's literature, literacy, and cultures. The information below provides driving directions, lodging suggestions, and parking tips.

The Conference will be held in the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library. On Thursday morning, the conference will begin in Room 205 of Gorgas Library, located at 711 Capstone Drive. Tuscaloosa's airport is for private planes only. The Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) will be the airport that attendees will fly into. The Hampton Inn- University is ideally located approximately 2 miles from the University of Alabama's Gorgas Library which houses the National Latino Children's Literature Confernece. The red parking spaces on the map are Student parking and the green parking spaces are the Faculty/Staff parking. These spots are valid for visitor parking. Permits will be mailed to the attendee's address listed on the registration form. We will not be responsible for lost parking permits.
